Altravista was founded in Pavia in 2007 out of a passion for technology and online commerce. Technology partner of national agencies and brands on ecommerce platforms with deep catalogs, configurators and integrations with business systems: that's where we learned to treat complexity as a project parameter, not a problem.
Today we work on two fronts, both open: directly with companies selling products that need explaining — components, spare parts, systems, B2B supplies, technical publishing — and as a partner of agencies and brands, white label when needed. We build and maintain stores on Magento, Shopify, WooCommerce and custom platforms, and we turned into a product what we used to install by hand in projects: Tech Guardian, the AI chatbot for ecommerce that answers from manuals, spec sheets and FAQs, published on the Shopify App Store and installed by the agency on other platforms.
How we work
- We say first whether it makes sense.. We look at catalog and documents before proposing anything; if a project isn't worth it, we say so.
- We build to stay.. A store and an AI assistant need maintaining: whoever builds them, follows them.
- No numbers we can't prove.. Results are measured with clients, against a baseline; they are not promised on a home page.
Who's behind it
Altravista Agency is the ecommerce and AI brand of Edizioni Altravista di Marco Boatti, which since 2007 also operates as a publisher of academic and scientific non-fiction: the online bookshop edizionialtravista.com (Magento 2) is the first non-Shopify store running Tech Guardian. Marco Boatti, founder, is a digital solutions architect and tech lead with experience on ecommerce and enterprise projects; he personally follows the analysis and architecture of every project.
